“…a little girl and her aquatic mammal friend. Solve puzzles, care for your beastie, and enjoy the slow coastal vibe.”

Short puzzle game available on itch.io right now! It features a little girl and her aquatic mammal friend. Solve puzzles, care for your beastie, and enjoy the slow coastal vibe. Made in a little over a week for an in-house game-jam, we wanted to focus on simple mechanics, clarity, and setting a setting a clear and definitive tone.

The concept was to make a version of ‘Flipper’ that featured a painfully slow manatee instead of a dolphin. Solving everything meant a long wait. Originally meant to be slow water torture, the game turned out quite charming

.

It serves as a mini-game proof-of-concept for a larger game about tropical life and community. If there’s any interest in similar stuff let us know! We’d love to take this much, much farther.

Where we would like to go, is to springboard from this into a living, breathing island with residents, flora & fauna. Tell stories unique to small island tropical life; stranded sailors, cargo shipment troubles, villager spats, wildlife rescue missions.. Featuring daily chores, fishing and gathering, world events, and such things. It’s a simple concept that we’d like to bring to life and build on over time. Just a place to experience and explore.
